i'm planning on formatting my pc pretty soon and reinstalling windows. i've currently got an 80 gig hard drive where windows is installed and then a 160 gig which is used for storage. i'm gonna take the 80 gig out and put it into another computer and partition the 160 gig into 2 partitions. with this being said, should i deauthorize my pc before i do this so itunes doesn't get confused or is this too small of a change to affect it? thanks.

Yes, you should definitely deauthorize.

Unless you keep the MAC address and serial number (IIRC), you need to deauthorize.

What serial number would he be keeping? And does this mean I can take a laptop with a PCMCIA NIC and just plug it into whatever computer I want to listen to music on and it'll automatically be authorized?
