Hi,
I am only just getting to grips with my new ibook, but was looking for a instant chat program that would work with AIM,MSN, and Yahoo - is there such a thing available for the Ibook? Running Panther by the way if that helps :-)

Also, don't mean to be a stickler, but the names are "iChat", and "iBook".

I have used proteus, fire and adium. I would say proteus is not worth buying as it offers nothing that adium or fire doesn't have and they are free.
adium and fire are both good. I myself use adium now but used fire for a while.

I've got to tip the hat towards Adium also. I've used fire and it's not very good to me. The main multi-protocol IM app I used to used was gaim (requires X11), and it was my fav (still is as long as i'm not in OS X), but Adium is very cool. It's got a cool interface and some really neat features for IM program, though it does have a few little problems here-and-there (mostly MSN problems for me).
