I just made a curious change in NetInfo to my _writers_passwd and name (i changed them from my short name to real name) and now finder seems to be broken. i realize this was stupid, please dont reprimand me for this... :D but i cant change it back and i cant do anything that requires admin priviliges! im not a computer newbie, and i realize this was a mistake. i just read a tip somewhere about changing shortnames and i guess i left out a few steps or something. Any help will be appriciated!

can anyone help me with this? i cant do anything on my powerbook (okay thats an exaggeration, so ill say *hardly* anything). When I type in my user name and pass, it says that i need an Admin name, which is what my user name used to be, until this netinfo mess up. i have no other admin on my computer, what do i do?

heres what i finally figured out to fix my PB. I used the restore discs to reset the pass for the root account. it then showed an "other..." login on my login window. i typed in root and then my pass and then switched my netinfo stuff back to what it was supposed to be. i logged out off root and the "other..." dissappeared. i logged into my account and it was all dandy :p thanks to the ppl who read this.
