Hello all. I was just wonderin' if there was an Applescript or something out there to close Preview AFTER I open a file with it. I hate the way it takes up dock space when I am not using it!!! Please help.
Thanks, Joel

umm.. can't you just quit it instead of pressing the close button?

Yeah, I could but I am still getting used to using the command keys. I am a newbie on Macs and I am used to closing something down and having it actually close out.

yeah fair enough.. you'll get used to it. I actually like all my windows contained within the same instance of the app instead of like PC's, with say each IE window being a new thing.. if you get me.

IE is probably a bad example, but I agree in essence. the mac way makes a lot more sense especially when you are dealing with lots of documents and projects at once.
Plus, I don't really understand why anyone would want to click on a red cross when you have the keyboard. there is a reason shortcuts are called shortcuts. they're faster.
rarely use a mouse in any operating system... in fact, i am sometimes annoyed by os x's lack of appropriate keyboard shortcuts...
