ccc erased my desktop?

I tried to make an image of a cd with ccc and selected my desktop as target disk. But it replaced/wiped some other files that were on the desktop before, also now when i try to open the desktop it says I don’t have sufficient acces privileges. does anybody know how to fix the problem?
