messaging to windows machines

i was curious as to whether or not there is a defininitive way either through the terminal, or by use of a program, to be able to message all PC's on a given network running windows -- as opposed to being able to only message one pc through ip address, username, or netbios.

I guess an Applescript could be written to take advantage of the terminal command

smbclient -M computername -U username
