I'd hope so, otherwise 8.6megs is a bit large just to conform to AE requirements.

You apparently didn't read the press release. It said "later this week" not today.

AFAIK the 8.6 mb is the whole application. it just downloads a whole new version of itunes and replaces the old one.

I thought it was a bit drive-heavy for such minor operations. And it appears I should have thought a little harder ..... ho hum.

Hmmm, does anyone know why my iTunes (windows) doesn't ever find new updates on its own? It always tells me my current version is the newest, even when there ARE newer versions... :confused:

it is installed and nothing appears to be different! not even any box for remote speakers etc how exciting!

I downloaded my iTunes 4.6 last evening. So I will just wait to see what will happen.
