Anyone here get fast iDisk speeds?

I'm currently uploading 9.5MB and it's saying twenty-five minutes. I'm not downloading or doing anything else.

Is it always this slow?

It's an excellent FTP program that also works with iDisk up/downloads. Much faster than using Finder.

How much faster with FTP? I am intrigued.
And to OP, yup it is that slow!

I love Mobileme dont get me wrong, for my mail / calenders / galleries / contacts etc i love it, and still happy to pay for it.

But i just dont bother with Idisk, it is just too slow to use in my opinion and tests. I take lots of photos weekly and like to keep the backed up online also, i would like to use my Idisk as i pay for it, but with 13gb of photos already its just so slow it hurts. I gave up once after an hour uploading just 30mb

So i use Dropbox for my online storage, Great as it is, its kind of crazy that i have a Mobileme account with 20gb from Apple and its empty, and yet i pay another company even more to get a very fast reliable online service.

Come on Apple, isnt it time Idisk was improved to make it worthwhile?

Anyway still interested in the FTP improvements?

Apple is building a server farm that will cost over a billion dollars - as we speak (type). I think help is on the way...

I just tried Cyberduck to upload my photos to iDisk and it works well. It has built in iDisk support. When uploading it fully saturates my upload connection.

That's in the US but we in Europe still have no idisk servers at all.
