If I want to install Windows via Bootcamp now and in a month or so want to install Snow Leopard (I would like to do a clean install for that as I don't like upgrading over an older OS), would I be forced to lose my Windows installation partition when I do that or would OS X recognize there is a Windows partition and leave that alone when i reformat and delete the older Leopard?
If that's the case then I don't want to install Windows now and end up having to reinstall it again with all my programs in a month's time. Thanks.

You should be able to erase your current Leopard installation and then install Snow Leopard without Windows being touched.

I believe that to be correct as well
Just be sure to select the proper partition for installation :)

You do it yourself.
When you boot from the disc go to "utilities > disk utility" then select the Leopard partition and erase it. Then close Disk Utility and choose that partition to install on. It doesnt touch anything on the other partitions.
