I have downloaded and installed the iPhone SDK 3.1 with Xcode 3.2 for Snow Leopard onto my MacBook Pro (with SL installed). This is the SDK kit that I used:

iPhone SDK 3.1 with Xcode 3.1 (Snow Leopard) (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/download.action?path=/iphone/iphone_sdk_3.1__final/iphone_sdk_3.1_with_xcode_3.2_final__snow_leopard__10a432.dmg)

I then watched one of the Getting Started videos, "Introduction to the iPhone SDK". When the instructor demonstrates launching Xcode to create a first app, when creating a new project the IDE shows three templates under Applications; all Cocoa Touch templates.

I have no Cocoa Touch templates.

In the two images that I've uploaded I show first what the video shows and then what I see when I do the same thing in Xcode on my Mac.

Does anyone know what is wrong here?

It sounds like the videos are out of date. The iPhone OS templates are the Cocoa Touch ones.
