When I click battle.net, it freezes. I play this daily then it froze when I tried to go online. I reinstalled and that didn't help. Ideas?

Are you running any over-protective firewalls? They may need to be configured.

Nope, nothing changed, I was playing, then went to edit a map, then it didn't work.

Do you have DivX installed?

I don't know. But I didn't change anything and it was working one minute, and not the next.

When you click battle.net, what exactly does it show on the screen? Connecting to battle.net or downloading data files?

Nothing, it just freezes.

If you press Command-M before attempting connection (switch to window mode), does anything pop-up in the background? You may like to cycle through applications with Command-Tab to see if anything requires your attention.

Weird, I had it small screen, opened activity monitor, about a minute after W3 freezing I took a pic of the screen, and then it unfroze and is now downloading a patch. Very weird.

So I have the latest patch installed, but when I click bnet it freezes for 30-60 seconds. So now I know that I have to wait for it.

I take that back. I left it for like 10 minutes and it never unfroze.

If you create yourself a new user account, will it work then? If not, you should try reinstalling.

edit: just to clarify, a new OS X user account.

Weird. I moved where the folder was, went into my mums account and selected bnet. It froze for a minute then said this:

Then I went into my account, tried it again in it's new spot, it froze for a minute then loaded.

Where do you have Warcraft installed? That message will show up if the account does not have permission to write files in the folder.

You must have missed what I wrote down the bottom. It is now working for some reason :D. I moved it back to where it originally was and it still worked. No idea what happened, but at least it's working.
