Just a quick question - I know that I can publish my iCal calendars online, but is there some way to edit them online and have them update my calendar on my machine? For example, when I'm at work and I need to update my calendar with a trip or something, how can I get this to update at home automatically?
Is there some sort of applet or site that would let me do that? Or will I need to write my own?
Thanks -

Right now, the only way to edit an iCal calendar is with iCal itself - which means that it isn't possible to modify a calendar published on .Mac from any computer other than the Mac it was published from.

Another question: how does one publish iCal calendars besides through .mac and spymac?

You need to set up a WebDAV server. If you Google around you can find instructions on how to set up WebDAV on OS X Server. It's not too hard to get working.
If you want an easy way to subscribe to WebDAV-published calendars, check out this AppleScript CGI (http://67.15.54.122/article.php?story=20040215023707770&query=webdav) I wrote a while back.
