Here's my two favorite Mac games:
Machinarium and Zuma.
Both have free trials available and have no DRM.
Zuma is actually a teenie bit shooter but it's marbles! No one gets horribly killed. You spin a marble-shooting frog around to shoot out a big line of marbles before it gets to the sewer of doom.
In Machinarium, you have to help out a cute little robot by solving lots of puzzles.
You can sharpen your mind and reflexes with these two games without practicing to become a mass murderer.
Of course if you like that sort of thing you'll probably hate these two...:o
