I've tried MPlayer, VLC, and Quicktime. So I burned it to a CD just to see if it would work on Windows. It does, with WMP and WinAmp. So does anyone have any suggestions on what to open it with?

You need to buy the 'QT 6 MPEG-2 Playback - Mac OS X'. It can be found Here (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71106/wo/pr1wzOzq9cO229d9sBJ1PhQAQLl/1.0.9.1.0.6.25.7.5.2.3).
EDIT: I think that link may timeout after a certain period of time has elapsed. If it does, go to Apple.com, then click on store and do a search for 'MPEG-2'. It is $20.
Hope this helps.

Do you think that will do it? Since it didn't work on MPlayer, which I usually use for MPEG2 stuff? It seems kind of silly to buy it when I can just burn a CD and watch it with Windows.

Yes, this will work in QuickTime allowing you to watch movies in the MPEG-2 format in Macintosh.
If you want to view MPEG2 videos on your Mac you'll need to buy it. Make sure you get the right one for your system OS9 or OSX.
I'd recommend it if it's easier for you rather that transporting the files to a PC.
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks.

Try vlc player at videolan.org . It plays almost anything and it's free.

He's already tried VLC! Must not be MPEG2 compatible.

VLC does in fact support MPEG-2... if you don't believe me, check this page: VLC Features (http://videolan.org/vlc/features.html). What sort of MPEG2 is this? Where did you get it? Getting a raw MPEG2 file is very very rare, no major distribution networks use it.

Are you trying MPEG2 or mv2? And is there a difference?
You could probable play it with DVD Studio Pro.
I'm confused on that.
