Transfer iChat buddy list to new account

Here's my dilemma: I got a new AIM screenname, and want to transfer all my buddies over to the new account, without having to manually type each of them in (since I have around 70 of 'em). Now, I did google the topic, and found that I could drag-and-drop my address cards from the address book, BUT there are none there. What do I do!? :confused:

Download and install AIM, start AIM and sign on with old screen name, export buddy list, sign on with new screen name, import buddy list, quit AIM, Start iChat.
