VMWare Fusion + L4D2 = Graphics Issue?

I have searched and found results but no answers. I know Fusion runs slow, but my question is, is it possible to run L4D2 on VMWare Fusion 3? I found there is something to do with the graphics or something. I load steam via XP and Win7, when I launch L4D2... it crashes. Now I have seen video on youtube of people playing, however I cant get it to work. Sure bootcamp would be better, but would that run? I have a 15" uMBP with both graphics cards. Any info will help, thanks.

VMWare Fusion is not just slower, its emulated and virtualized. It's not real hardware being accessed, it's all software so its going to be slow.

If you want to play L4D2, Boot Camp is literally the only option to play it smooth and like a real computer.
