Is there anyway to use a PC gamepad with Snow Leopard?
I have a powerwave skull edition and it only came with windows drivers on the disc, I tried using it with gamepad companion but it didn't work... is there any solution?

You could check the Logitech site for drivers. If you don't have any luck there you might try ControllerMate (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17779/controllermate).

Turns out it was a powerwave one, not a logitech, I checked their website and they only have windows drivers... I'd rather not have to pay for an app to let me use it as well, especially seeing as the app costs more than my controller. :O

No other ideas? I thought this would be something fairly common...

I think gamepad drivers are pretty sparse for the Mac since there aren't a lot of games on the platform. I use a wired 360 controller with the Tattiebogle drivers (http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver).

Not in Apple land, no. Apple has always been extremely disinterested in games and not in the least supportive to game developers.

If it's USB you could try USBOverdrive (http://www.usboverdrive.com/USBOverdrive/News.html).

Go get yourself an Xbox 360 gamepad at a pawnshop for a few bucks.
Download the driver@

Doesn't work with the wireless one though. But the 360 corded has been
invaluable and gave me the best gaming experience on my MBP.

Thanks. You should be able to pick a corded one up pretty cheap. I hope this copy of Quake 4 is still at this one pawn place in town. It was 6$ : ) Gonna go snag it. Nostalgia purposes.

I don't know... I'm really not a fan of the feel of that thing, I much prefer the Playstation controller... plus I'm mainly wanted to play PSX games as well...
