Problem copying a dvd help

Basically, its my first time, i have an ibook g4, lacie external dvd writer, anyways, I used mac the ripper to take the files off the dvd, its shawshank redemption if u care, then I took dvd2onex, and used that to shrink it, then opened toast 6 titanium, under data mode, labeled the dvd SHAWSHANK_REDEMPTION then I dragged the video_ts file onto it and burned it. When I tried to play this in a dvd player, no luck, if i use the computer dvd player and choose open video ts file it works, any ideas what I did wrong?

I don't think that a Video DVD can be burned as a regular data DVD, but rather it requires special DVD formatting.

any clue then what to do? i thought u just use the video file and it will work
