A source of mine at the Cupertino Store says that he sees a "Fallout Tactics" product code in their database --
with a date of September 1st next to it! Should be great...

Yeah, Fallout Tactics is the third installation in the fallout series, kind of an Real Time Combat game that has been PC only for quite a while, just like Fallout 2.

I heard that Tactics is inferior to Fallout 2. Have you tried it and stuff?

Well it's a different type of game. I've played it a a little and it is pretty hard, it has a steep learning curve. Even if it isn't as good I'm getting it anyway :-D

i LOVE the whole Fallout series & i've played them all on my PC. and now they're coming to Mac??!!!! YYIIIPPEEEEE!!!:D :D :D :D :D

is this really for real??!!!!! :D!

is there any website i can go to see this for myself?!!!!

interplay did the original Fallout series, who's doing the Mac version? don't these sort of things go to Mac specific developers? anyway, i'm having a look on the net now to see if i can get any info.


edit>> i just found out that MacPlay published Fallout 2. can't find anything on Tactics yet...:rolleyes:

The omnigroup is porting the Fallout series. And yes, it's for real, If the apple store in cupertino has the right release dates.

ok, it's September 1st and i'm waiting for Tactics here... although it is a Sunday, and i'm in Australia. we should get it at the same time though shouldn't we? anyway, i'll call the Apple store on Monday and see if i can get it.

does anyone else have it yet... how is it??!!!:confused: :D :D

hey, it's September 2 and i can't find Tactics anywhere. so has it been released or what?! just say that the Apple store got it wrong, they might have the wrong date, right? it is definitely being released for Mac, isn't it???!!!!!

can someone at least confirm when it's being released?? or if it is coming out at all?!!:confused:

Well that's when it's supposed to be released, i dunno about shipments. Remember, Macplay still hasn't updated their fallout 2 page to say you can buy it!

I'm almost positive this is a typo.

There would have been SO many rumors and pre-release announcements about a game that is far more popular and in most people's opinions FAR better than Fallout 2. While I've never played it, I can tell you it did get rave reviews and is still a great game.

But no, don't get your hopes up for a Mac version anytime soon.

what? a typo?! yeah, i would've thought that there would be a little bit more hype with the Mac release of Tactics, oh well. we will get it eventually though, right? someone say that Tactics is coming to Mac!!!

Well, I just say what I hear. And the guy in the cupertino store said there was an entry in the database for fallout tactics....

I saw a similar entry on the product board of MacPlay products you could order. It was a typo. The real product was either just Fallout 2, or the Fallout 1+2 bundle...I can't remember.

I promptly sent them a letter. :D
