PB G3 Wallstreet Screen dimmed after sleep

My Powerbook G3 (Wallstreet) LCD screen goes dimmed after the computer goes to sleep and I can't find a way to bring it back to normal, unless I restart the computer. Can anyone help?

Are you using Classic or X? This sound like it's some obscure preference thing - did you try zapping the PRAM?

Yes.

I Zapped the PRAM, NVRAM.

I have OSX (10.2.8) installed.
