I setup gmail in Apple Mail. It imports all the mail, but it also imports all the sent items and puts it in the Mail inbox.
Any ideas?

How did you set it up? I enabled POP mail in my gmail settings and added the account in Mail and I don't get any of the sent stuff.

I followed these instructions (http://gmail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13275) exactly.

OK, but what are your POP forwarding settings in Gmail? That's what determines what mail you see in Mail.

I have attached a picture of my settings. Hope this helps.

Actually, I need to retract my earlier statement - I disabled/re-enabled POP in Gmail and it does import the sent mail. I had forgotten about it since I did it a while ago, trashed the sent stuff in Mail and haven't sent anything in a while.
Hopefully they add more control over the POP forwarding in Gmail to take care of things like this.

Ok thanks! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong.
Take care.
