They're late. Analysts (like Merrill Lynch's Steve Mullinovich) have been predicting a flash iPod for over a month.

Ironically, rumor sites like MacOS Rumors (http://macosrumors.com/) that were previously reporting rumors of flash-iPods are now saying that those plans have been put on hold.

Yesterday's modest rise in Apple's share price has nothing to do with flash iPods.
