This is awesome. My work has a product that runs solely on oracle, and we support every other platform, but macs. I hope this changes and they make me spearhead the project ... mac port. dreaming and drooling

The hint at Xsan (http://www.apple.com/xsan) was very tantalizing:
The software is still on track to be launched this fall, Apple said, giving the company about two weeks to apply the finishing touches and start shipping.

Hm... Dec 8 + 14 days = Dec 22 = the end of Fall? ERm... good enough for me.
