Upgrade Windows XP 32 bit to W7 64 bit

Hi All,

I am making the conversion to Mac (Macbook Pro). I have legit software for a PC so I thought I would do the following if possible...

1) Install Windows XP 32 bit through boot camp and then upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit.

2) Install Office 2007 and then upgrade to 64 bit.

This would save me a lot of money...what are the opinions?

I have windows XP because of what I use my windows OS for.

It's specific to everyone and what they're doing. What exactly are you using your windows OS for? With that answer will come which windows version to use :p
