WTB iBook G3

Hey everyone,

I'm exteremly close to getting my friend to switch to Mac--but they don't want to spend a lot. They need a laptop (for basics--email and word processing), so I'm looking for an older Clamshell iBook in the $200 range. Anyone who has something like that that they'd be willing to sell, please PM me!

BTW-A PowerBook G3 would work as well.

i apologize if this is irrelevant, but a G3? on a $200 budget? i am not so sure about switching someone for the sake of switching, which is what you are doing sounds like to me... i realize there are people out there still doing well with a G3. but will your friends see the benefit of switching, enough to be convinced that it's a good move, with such an older machine?

That is a good point, but she really likes my mom's clamshell iBook, and doesn't need a lot of power. She wants to switch to a mac because of the industry she's in (talent agency--which ties in with video production, and all her contacts are on a Mac).

If she can go higher, I will, by all means, try to get her (at least) and old PowerBook G4. However, it all depends on budget.
