I'm trying to get an idea of the demand for parts before I decide to try and repair my computer. CPU card is fried. Everything else is good. It is a Dual 1 GHz MDD. I have an nVidia Geforce 4Ti (these sell new for ~$400). The motherboard has been checked and is good. I have a superdrive, 1.25GB RAM (256 MB Apple, 1GB Crucial (2x512)). Case is in good condition. Let me know if there's any interest. Otherwise I may have to buy the Giga MDD upgrade and sell it as a dual 1.42. Not my ideal situation as that's $630.
Thanks for looking.

I would consider some of the RAM and perhaps the Superdrive, although that's the old 2x model, right?
How much would you want for the graphics card?

I may be interested in the Crucial Ram (both of them) too. What speed are those chips? Asking price?

Hey there, I have a combo drive and a standard DVD burner in my MDD G4 Powermac.... however I really want a Pioneer superdrive (that I don't have to use a patch to use). So how much do you want for it? Or would you be willing to trade a stock combo drive *and* a lite-on burner for your SuperDrive? Just curious.
Thanks in advance,
KC

Ok here goes...
RAM from Crucial costs 82.99 per DIMM. I figured since warranty is the same $70/DIMM (512) sounds about right. The 256 Apple sells for about $50 so $40 sounds good. nVidia Geforce 4 Ti sells new for $400 (can't find any past auctions on ebay to compare price for) so I'd guess $300 is decent since this is still a really nice video card. If anyone's interested in the motherboard I have that tested as working well. Not sure market price on that yet though.
Mulletman, can you give me more information on your Lite-On drive so I can decide if it's worthwhile?
I have no idea how much the case (and power supply?) should go for. I've looked on ebay for cases but they were all the older blue G4s. Shipping might not be too bad (new computers are $40 shipping cost). What's your zip and I can check.
Thanks for everyone's responses.

Might want to take a look at some of these for price ideas. The better (at least newer and I believe it out performs the 4 Ti) Radeon 9800 is only $339.

Yours is used and a couple years old, right?

I had been watchin a couple sell 3-4 months ago and they brought btw $75 and $100. Several AGP G4 cases have sold on Ebay lately for as little as $53.
If your case is in decent condition I could offer $75 plus shipping (most likely $40 through USPS Parcel, not UPS or Fed-ex).
Paypal and EBay verified.
Best,
Robert .. zip is 99577

So in comparison the 9800 Pro is a nicer video card. Core clock is faster, everything else is about the same. What then is a decent price? It's still a great video card...I've never had any problems and according to Tom's Hardware it's very competant when compared to the newer offerings.
Is $250 acceptable? Keep in mind the prices will determine whether or not I sell this in parts.

I've seen GF4Ti's to go for around £100 on ebay over here (about $195). Bear in mind that mac prices (and parts) are quite a bit higher over here so it's probably worth less in the US

So just so i know what people are willing to pay, if you're interested in something can you tell me what you'd pay? This way I can decide quickly if this is the way to do this. Thanks.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I bought the dual 1.42 upgrade for it though as apparently the parts weren't worth what the computer is. Thanks again.
