Loud Superdrive 2010 6core

I just got my mac pro a few days ago and noticed that the superdrive is really loud, is that normal or is any one else having this problem? When I say loud I just mean its quite a bit louder than my old mac book pro superdrive, not like its making weird noises... but its pretty distracting nonetheless.

Mine is stupidly loud.

It's pretty normal... just google mac pro superdrive really loud and you can find forum posts throughout the years till 2006 pointing out how stupidly loud the super drive is.

Mine is also loud.

The Asus Blu-Ray drive I installed in bay 2 is much quieter.
