I'm planning to purchase my apple ipad in a week or so and I've been doing some research on how it is going to be used. The university I'm at requires students to use a learning system called blackboard and it turns out they recently released a blackboard app specific for the ipad.

I just need to know how I can export pdf files from blackboard mobile and import it into iannotate/goodreader using the ahttp:// or ghttp:// function. The ipod touch version of blackboard mobile does let me download the PDF file but when I hold the download button, nothing happened and I was unable to copy the download link.

Blackboard's Mobile Apps both for iPad and iPhone are pretty much useless. There is no support for opening files with Goodreader from the BBoard mobile app. At least none that I know of.

But Blackboard recently updated their web interface to v.9.1 and you can now download any file using Goodreader or any other similar app. Basically you can do everything from your school's website rather than the Blackboard app. Everything besides uploading files of course but that's an iPad limitation.

So for what you want to do I believe the iPad will suit you pretty well without the need for BB mobile app.
