iSight Revision Expected

I'm thinking of buying a couple of iSights this Christmas, and am curious if anyone thinks I'll regret it after January's MacWorld. I'm just hoping if I purchase them now, that there won't be some improved product released in a few weeks. Anyone care to weigh in on this one?

Buy it. I doubt very much there is going to be any major upgrade to the iSights, improvements are coming by the way of iChat in Tiger and the introduction of H.264/AVC.

They released a new model (M8817LL/B) a couple of months ago.

all that "new" model did was add a magnetic mounting.

I would say go ahead and buy now. Then you will be able to enjoy your new iSight over the coming holidays, Christmas etc.
