It doesn't bother me too much that Apple doesn't carry this game. As long as they carry JFK:Reloaded when it comes out for Mac! ;-)

While I don't exactly agree in principal, I can kinda see why Apple doesn't want to sell it. CompUSA surprised me, but I guess they do have some standards (or somebody complained). You'd think they'd want a cut in a this kind of software that will be popular because of it's notoriety. It's not banning though, they just aren't selling it. Banning would be what the Government is trying to do. Saying you can't buy it at all instead of just certain vendors not wanting to carry it.

the article didn't use the word 'ban' except with regard to new zealand, where it is indeed a ban:
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=5709
the OFLC's ruling is the climax of a yearlong investigation into the game, and anybody found with the game can now be fined NZ$2,000 (€1,075), any retailers selling or even displaying it can be fined NZ$20,000 (€10,750) and potentially go to jail for a year, and any larger "incorporated" distributors or retailers can be fined NZ$50,000 (€26,860) for similar breaches.
in the u.k., 18+ game sales are enforceable, but not 16+, and note that this is an ESRB "M" rated game, not an adult "A" rated. Reading between the lines it looks like there was some debate at Apple to carry the title.
btw: new interview with the CEO of the game dev company here (http://macologist.org/viewtopic.php?t=714)
