I am very happy with my airport express, but I was wondering if there is a program or add-on to allow me to play a song off of YouTube through my WiFi speakers?

"Airfoil" will allow you to play any audio generated by your computer through an Airport Express. You can run Pandora, YouTube, or an internet radio station on your computer, and by selecting the program output you wish to use as a source (e.g., Safari), and by selecting even multiple Airport Express names, you can listen to the audio throughout the range of your wifi network.

A license costs $25 and you can try it for free at the publisher's website:

I've been using it for years, and it has always worked extremely well. Hope it is what you're looking for.

i've also used it for a couple years, and have had no problems.

Couple of things,

*there is a delay (about 2 seconds), so youtube (or other video) really doesn't work that well, unless all you care about is the audio. they offer a video player, but i really don't use it.

*look at something like pandoraboy (http://code.google.com/p/pandoraboy/) or SweetFM (http://github.com/sweetfm/SweetFM/downloads) (for last.fm) to play your audio, since they are stand alone programs, you don't have to worry about browsing to some site with a loud ad, and it coming over your speakers. or at least run 2 browsers, with the music in chrome, and your regular browsing in safari for example.

* In addition to normal airtunes devices (express and :apple:tv) you can play to their receiver program (it's free) and runs on mac, windows, linux, and iOS.

I've got an old iPhone with a partially broken screen that sits in a powered speaker, so i can move that anywhere in the house to get audio.

In my opinion, the sync isn't quite as tight as with apple, not that it's bad or really that far off, but occasionally, if you can hear 2 sets of speakers at the same time, they can get a little off, most of the time, deselecting all the speakers, and the reselecting them will get them back. although now that i think about it, it's been a while, so this may have been fixed in later versions.
