Still haven't found any nice desktop backgrounds, but Snowflakes (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/25363) and XMas Tree (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/25315) are some nice freeware apps to decorate your desktop. Although I've found Snowflakes can lead to migraines.
