that is for the 12 inch ibook - its a 100 dollar rebate

the 14 inch ibooks and all powerbooks hav a 150 dollar rebate

Now if only those rebates could get the final price down to about $600 Canadian... I'm looking for an iBook 500 or so in that range...

I called an Apple 3rd party vendor and they are selling used 12" 1GHz iBooks that were released in April 2004 for 700 CAD. I love it. :)

Yeah but you can't add bluetooth and a larger hard drive. Gotta BTO those from Apple.

I don't get it: is $999 the price AFTER or BEFORE rebate? And what about the sales tax?

$999 is before rebate so $899 after. With free shipping and no sales tax.
