View Full Version : What is the maximum amount of RAM the 2010 quad core mac pro can handle?

I checked the tech specs on apple's website and they said 16GB but when I went to crucial.com to find out what memory was compatible they said the maximum was 32GB.

So am I right in thinking that my 2010 quad core mac pro can handle 32GB but Apple only supports up to 16GB?

The most supported by the Quad Core and the Six Core is 32GB. The most supported by the 8-Core and 12-Core is 64GB.
