View Full Version : How long for iPhoto book?

I'm thinking of ordering a photo book from Apple for my wife. Has anyone ordered one recently in the UK? How long did it take to arrive?

I'd like it in time for Christmas, but according to the estimated printing and shipping times that Apple give, I might be just too late...

Anyone know how long they really take?

When I ordered one a while back it took about a week but that wasn't during the Christmas period. Bear in mind also that they come from the US (via UK customs) and that will probably be slower right now.

Thanks Caveman. I didn't realise they came from the US! No wonder the shipping costs so much! :D

I guess its very unlikely to be here by Christmas then :(

ggrrr, I should have been more organised and ordered it earlier. :rolleyes:

I am going to recomend against shutterfly. Just received one a few days back and the picture quality is absolutly TERRIBLE! I have used photoworks and ofoto and both have far superior quality.

Thanks belf8st - I didn't even know anyone else made books like the Apple ones. But I'm in the UK and they seem to be US based stores. Are you in Belfast, NI? If so have you used either of those sites, and how long did it take?

Does anyone know if any of these photo (book) printing sites has a UK base that can ship quite quickly?

The Apple photobooks actually come from MyPublisher. To use their service outside of iphoto you need to use their software - which only runs on windows.
