WTF. If this is the reason why Apple removed the camera, then they are stupid

Well, because you wasted time on the chat...

They know absolutely nothing.

I don't think anyone used the camera on the iPod nano. What I'm more curious about is the removal of video playback.

That's like chatting with the check-out clerk at Wal-Mart about their corporate strategy.

Agreed on the video playback. Total step backwards there. Even though the screen was small, it was still watchable.

The new nano is the 'Shuffle Pro', the Nano has been dropped and the Nano Pro is now the iPod Touch.

The Nano was never really a device made to record video, it was more a way to move Nano sales.

Hmmm....that's true

Anyways, if you guys want the link to chat with the "experts"
here it is, troll away. (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?aid=AIC-WWW-NAUS-K2-BUYNOW-MACBOOKPRO-INDEX&cp=BUYNOW-MACBOOKPRO-INDEX)

I get the feeling that when the iPod Nano 5th gen was made the camera was originally for the iPod Touch. And then something happened and the camera wouldn't work in the iPod Touch and they said to themselves

"We have all of these camera parts, what the hell are we going to do? I know we'll put them in the nano! Brilliant! I'm Jony Ives!"

Duh.

I didn't need to waste my time or the time of the Apple chat rep to find that out.
