Just wondering....I have a couple of PCI 6800's kicking about and thought they could come in handy to drive a small external monitor.
Is it possible?
Thanks for any advice.....

The Mac Pro has no PCI slots, so computer says no (see if anyone can catch that reference ;) ).

Sorry, my mistake, it's a PCIE card like the onehere (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/nVidia-Geforce-6800-256Mb-PCIE-DVI-VGA-Video-Card-M7803-/360291697471?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item53e30f033f)
Make any difference?
Thanks again.....

And your point is......?
I just want to know if I can get it working to drive a second monitor, not play Crysis with it.

Now I am on shaky ground but wasn't the Geforce 6800 Ultra DDL only AGP Pro?
It were superseded by the Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition and Radeon X850 Mac Edition.
The Power Mac G5 (Late 2005) were the only one to get a 16x PCI Express connector and used the following graphic cards: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE, GeForce 6600, GeForce 7800 GT, or Quadro FX 4500 with 128, 256, or 512 MB of DDR RAM.

I would rather wait for the ATI 68XX to come out... the apple drivers seem already to include some support for it...

It's no big deal......I was just wondering whether it could be done or whether to sling it out.
