iPod Shuffle headphones cord length?

I plan on getting one of the new Shuffles when they become available but I was wondering if the headphones cord length is shorter compared to headphones that Apple packs in with all of the other iPods.

Can anyone help me out?

If they are shorter, by how much?

Yeah. They're shorter because Apple expects the iPod to be clipped outside of your pocket somewhere.

They are about 4 inches shorter (I think). I haven't a pair handy to check.
