What happened to make it crack?

Probably normal wear and tear. My black Speck candyshell has almost completely disintegrated, with cracks around the camera and part of the area around the dock connector has completely fallen off. The lack of build quaility is astounding.

Do you guys remove the case often? I haven't had any problems with my speck candyshell, but i never take the phone out of the case.
