I was looking to upgrade the 20GB HD in my g3 ibook 700. my local MCE authorized reseller was going to do it for me but i haven't heard from him in about 3 weeks.
I was hoping to get 100GB 5400. What do i need to do to make sure it will work? will any old 9.5mm notebook drive work?

Any brand of 2.5" 9.5mm IDE hard drive will work.

But: installing it in a G3 iBook is a nightmare. And a drive that runs hot (extra large or extra fast = extra heat) would be an issue in that cramped case.

Unless your stock hard drive is actually failing, go for an external Firewire drive instead.

Thanks
