Dang, these 8 core 2.93GHz refurb units last less than 60 minutes.

I don't really get it but apparently people think these are good buys. Must be the ~$1K bump for 12-core.

cheers to the longs

Are you kidding? $3600 is a steal for those machines.

Keep in mind that they cost about $6000 a view weeks ago and you get a 2.4GHz machine for the same price directly from Apple.

yes. see link above.

I have used them for mac minis.

They started sale today. I have no interest and receive no kickback from them. I am a price finding junky due to the mac mini mod business I am doing for 09 and 10.

Those aren't 8 cores.
I ordered one this morning.
after my inquiry/ questioning[I told him the model # was for a quad],the sales guy insisted they were '09 octo's and they share the same model iD as the quad's.
huh?..
He insisted they were 8 cores, even after his manager double checked.
Then called me back 1/2 hour later sheepishly, admitting it was a mistake
Bummer.
Order cancelled

Yeah.total bummer
He said they had an octo 2.66 around but based on my exchange w/ them this morning I'd be kinda scared to to any business with them now.
