i posted this on another thread and wanted some feedback.

if i were to ebay this what do you think it is really worth and what i would get for it in american dollars?

iBook600MHz/640MB/30GB/DVD/AirPortCard/AVCables/
AND
three yrs accidental damage protection (screen included) transferrable to new owner ($500 value)

About $1299 American... But beware of ebay... I know a lot of people who won computers, sent their money and never got their mac...

you really think that a computer that sells for $2300 new WITHOUT the ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE protection would sell on ebay for $1000 less?

Given that Mac World is in three days?

I think that eBay is an excellent indicator of fair market value. Supply and Demand in all it's digital glory.

Personally, I think $1300 is low but pretty close. The system is used right? Apple's coming out with faster/better/cheaper in three days right? Accidental Protection blah blah blah - in three years when the hard drive goes, $500 will be able to buy more than 30 GB.

its not about the internals...its about the word "ACCIDENTAL" and the INCLUSION of the LCD in this protection.

and if its broken beyond repair/costeffectiveness...it gets replaced by whatever is newer/better/faster blahblah
