iPod Possible to know movie release times on iTunes?

Somewhere close to a dairy in East Texas
Does anybody know if it's possible to know when movies will be available on iTunes that are already available on DVD?

For instance, Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. is available now on DVD but not iTunes.
