iPod touch Headphones with buttons/mic

We can only truly be sure if they are tested out on a G2/3. But my guess is they are compatible. Apple won't take away features when they upgrade gens, UNLESS there is a major redesign (iPod Nano). You can see 3 silver things in the jack, which supports the three black bands found on those headphones. The headphones are fully supported, so it is my guess that it is your buttons' fault. And besides, you won't need them now, there are physical buttons and a built in mic.

You can test them out on the previous 2 gens to be sure.
