Can I use Cooling pad with usb hub for my old apple tv

I am trying to hack my old apple tv with my usb stick. However, the apple tv only have 1 usb port and I need to use the cooling pad as well. So I am thinking about buying the cooling pad with built in usb hub in it. Then I connect the cooling pad to my apple tv, and then connect my usb stick to the cooling pad usb hub.

Do you think it will work?

Yes a usb hub works fine with a hacked ATV. When I was hacking mine I had a hub connected to the ATV with an external hard drive, a mouse and a keyboard all connected to it.
