I replaced my old, failing slave drive in my Dual 450 G4 with a new 120GB drive. I figured I would do a clean install on the new drive, get it all working nicely and then clone it to my current boot drive. But, the Panter installer will not let me install it on the new drive, says that i can't boot from that volume. Also, when I boot up normally, I don't have write permission to one of the partitions on the new drive. Any ideas? The drives are configured master/slave, as according to Apple the machine does not support cable select.

EDIT:
Well, after a reboot everything worked fine. Guess the installer doesn't recognize freshly created partitions correctly.
