By coincidence, I'm getting a Mac Pro today and I'm also pondering what to name it. My old G4 tower was xocolatl, the Maya word for chocolate. My windows machine is camazotz, the name of an evil planet in Madeline L'Engle's book, "A Wrinkle in Time". I also learned the word tesseract, a four dimentional hyper-cube, from that book and that's the name of my quad-core Linux box. My shiny aluminum Macbook Pro is silversurfer, since was watching the Fantastic Four movie while setting it up and I use it a lot for web surfing.

Ulysses is my MBP, my MP will probably be called Alyssa.
I think it takes about a week to determine the "sex" of your Mac, with no genitalia it`s all about the personality on them. :D
I am currently considering an oldish G4 which will be "old smokey" if I take the plunge.
This is all great ammo for the PC users who think we`re all weird for naming our machines!
