Another question about updating OS X

In another post.. had a question about updating .. currently have 10.2.8. And I found out that I need to purchase the software to update any farther.. but curious.. i have the disks that came with another imac of mine.. a new G5 with 10.3.6. Is it possible to use those disks to update my G4? Bad Idea? No good? Just curious... thought crossed my still-learning brain.

Duff-Man says...search the forums, this gets asked/answered almost every week it seems. Those other disks are *not* licensed for use on any other computer and doing so is a violation of that license......oh yeah!
