Tested this on an Windows/IE PC. A very similar method should work on OS X.

Open the TV show in the iTunes store
Right-click on the artwork and 'Copy Link'
Paste the link into IE, and wait for a page like this to load: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewTVSeason?id=192598886&s=143444
Right-click on the artwork there, and choose properties
Copy the URL (Something like http://a1.phobos.apple.com/us/r1000/011/Features/c8/da/06/dj.wwdotahp.100x100-75.jpg )
Paste into the address bar and change 100x100 to 600x600
Enjoy!

I don't have much use for it (since the TV Shows I don't get from iTunes aren't available in iTunes)... but it's a cool tip anyway. Thanks! :)

Do you have to do something different to get it to work with movies?

Yes, if this would work with movies, that would be awesome. Is it a matter of getting the correct dimensions for movie posters and using the same method?

*This is working for some TV shows and not others.

To get this method to work for both TV shows and movies, follow the exact same steps, but with the following exception:
Rather than changing .100x100-75 to .100x100-75, simply delete that entire section. (By removing the dimensions, the web page will show you the highest-resolution version of the image available.)

NOTE: This method does not work for all TV Shows and movies in the iTunes Store, but it works with many.

Anyone have any idea why this does not work for the newer shows?

I dont do allot of tv shows, but I got to amazon, and drag the artwork into meta-x

Big Bang Theory and Sons of Anarchy are about the only shows I keep for any lenght of time.

FYI,

this method also works on Safari browser, but on step #4, instead of clicking properties (which safari doesn't have), you click on Save Image Address.

Anyone have any idea why this does not work for the newer shows?Apple blocked it. They'd rather you pay for it then get it for free. Even though they're just pictures.

Apple blocked it.The content providers and copyright holders requested Apple to block it or threatened they would remove their content altogether. They'd rather you pay for it then get it for free. Even though they're just pictures.

There, fixed that for ya. You know what's even more silly though? The fact that they won't let Apple, Amazon, and other digital music retailers include the lyrics to the songs. Last I heard that required another separate costly licensing agreement.
