Are 4GB RAM sticks going to drop in price before 8GB sticks?

Just wondering, because I think it is interesting how small the difference is between the price of upgrading RAM with 4GB sticks as opposed to 8GB

RAM prices change all the time. Sometimes they go up, sometimes they go down. They will drop a bit if the supply increases. Eventually they will go back up when they stop making them.

Depending on your model, if you're never going to be using what 8GB sticks will give you when you fill up the machine, there is no reason to spend that money upfront.
